Dear Prime Minister:

I find internment of Japanese people a racist and discriminating thing to do to Japanese – Canadians. They have been living in Canada for generations now. We would like some kind of apology to all of us that have been racist to or discriminated at the up most least from the government itself.
You have been making us move more inland of B.C just because Japan is having a war on the opposing side and you think we can communicate with the Japanese that actually live in Japan when we don’t even know what they look like or even know anyone that lives there. After you make us move east of central B.C you then sell our houses and car that we worked so hard at our jobs to get for such a low price of about $1 to other people to own. After doing all that to us you don’t stop but continue to discriminate us just because we are Japanese Canadians and not pure Canadians to me I see no difference, we are both Canadian citizen. You make us go back to Japan. First of all I lived in Canada my whole entire life so how is it possible for me to go back to Japan when I having even gone there in the first place and don’t even know one single thing on how Japanese in Japan lived their culture and aspects of things. Having us start our whole lives over again when we had hard earn houses, cars and etc. In an entirely different country we have not been to.

I hope that you recognized the wrongs you guys have done to us Japanese – Canadians which are basically Canadians that can speak a little Japanese, in the past and is still continuing to do to us till this date. Thank you.

Sincerely your Japanese – Canadian,
Bobbi Nozomi
